Hey!!
I have experienced problems with downloading the mirbase data for human since last week. I wonder if you could help me. It just can’t get connected.
I assume you mean from the FTP site? We haven’t noticed any problems over the last couple of months. Please let us know if you’re still not able to connect.
Hi
I’m trying to find out about the rate of discovery of miRNAs. I thought a good demonstration would be to tabulate the number of human miRNAs that have been annotated in each version of miRBase since version 1. Is it possible to find out this information?
All the previous version of miRBase are available on the FTP site, here:
ftp://mirbase.org/pub/mirbase/
From those FTP site downloads, you should be able to recreate that the numbers of human hairpin loci in each miRBase release look like this:
1.0 56
1.1 69
1.2 102
1.3 102
1.4 103
1.5 102
2.0 158
2.1 153
